There are adventurous elopements… and then there’s this.

Driving up to the summit of Mount Washington at 35 weeks pregnant (and terrified of heights, might I add) was definitely one of my wildest photography adventures yet — but oh my gosh, was it worth it. The views, the emotion, the wind whipping through Molly's hair as she said “I do” on top of the world...every single part of this day was unreal.

As we climbed higher up the mountain, rain started to drizzle and clouds wrapped around us like a blanket. It was cold, misty, and moody in the best way. But right as they began their ceremony, the sky opened up just enough to reveal the most breathtaking views of the mountains below... a literal moment of divine timing.

This was my first time working with them (we skipped an engagement session so they could put that time toward an extra celebration the following weekend), but it instantly felt like photographing old friends. We had met for coffee to plan everything out, and from that first chat, I knew it was going to be a dream fit. They trusted me completely, no shot list, no Pinterest poses, just full faith that I’d capture the day as it unfolded. That trust is everything.

And while I loved every second on the summit, the magic didn’t stop there. We made our way to a waterfall afterward for more portraits (my kind of adventure), grabbed some pizza, and wrapped up back at their cozy Airbnb. It was intimate, real, and absolutely perfect.

What made this one extra special for me, though, came after the fact. They were endlessly patient and kind as I delivered their gallery right after having my baby. To be so excited about your photos, yet still offer me that kind of grace and understanding... I’ll never forget it. It reminded me how lucky I am to work with people who truly see the heart behind what I do.

Looking back, this day still doesn’t feel real. Freezing rain, dizzying heights, and all, it’s one I’ll never forget.
