Meredith + Sean’s Mountain Engagement in the Lakes Region


Before their incredibly emotional and intimate wedding day (seriously, I’m still not over it), Meredith and Sean made the trip up from the Boston area to the Lakes Region of New Hampshire for their engagement session — and wow, did they bring the magic with them.


They were planning a beautiful blend between a traditional Catholic wedding and a more elopement-style experience, but first, we got to spend a little time just celebrating them. One of my favorite parts of working with wedding couples is getting to do engagement sessions like this. It gives us a chance to hang out, get comfy in front of the camera, and break the ice before the big day — all while creating some seriously dreamy images along the way.


We met at the base of a mountain and did a short 30-minute hike to the summit, where Lake Winnipesaukee and the surrounding peaks made the perfect backdrop. The sun dipped just right as it poured golden light into the frame, making every shot feel straight out of a movie. Meredith and Sean were total naturals — playful, connected, and totally down for adventure. Meredith even jumped in with her own photo ideas (which I love when my couples do!) and it made the session feel like such a fun collaboration.


This session was the perfect way to kick off what ended up being one of the most meaningful weddings I’ve ever had the honor of capturing.
